Christian Fellowship Alaska Cruise: Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best month for a Christian Alaska Cruise?

If you’re planning a Christian cruise to Alaska in 2024 or 2025, the summer months are the best time to visit. Alaska gets cold during the winter, and the days are longer during the summer. Summer is the ideal season to relax on our Christian Alaska Cruise. Booking Christian tours at the right time is essential if you want the best weather, but some areas may be busier during certain parts of the year. Pilgrim Tours can help you choose the best Alaskan Christian Cruise for your schedule.

How many days do you need for a Christian Alaska Cruise?

Our Christian Alaska Cruises range from 7-11 days in length and take you to various landmarks and historical locations throughout Alaska. When you book our Christian cruises to Alaska in 2024 or 2025, you’ll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy some of the beautiful nature the state has to offer. This cruise also includes stops in Alaskan towns like Juneau and Skagway, so you’ll get the chance to spend an afternoon in several unique areas.

What is the dress code on a Christian Alaska Cruise?

Like most of our U.S. tours, the dress code for our Christian Alaskan Cruise aboard the Celebrity Millennium, Quantum of the Seas or Radiance of the Seas is relaxed for the most part. You can wear casual resort wear onboard the ship and bring some swimming gear for the time you spend shoreside. At night, you’ll need to wear smart casual attire if you want to attend the dining areas and theater. You can contact us if you have questions about what to pack.

Is there a lot of walking involved on a Christian Alaska Cruise?

While our Ireland tours and other tours of Europe often involve walking, you can kick back and relax when you book a Christian Alaska Cruise in 2024 or 2025. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to lounge around aboard the ship, but there are a few land stops that require some walking. Bring a comfortable pair of shoes that you don’t mind walking in. The cruise ships also have a gym, so you can bring athletic shoes and gym clothes if you want to work out.

What passport & visa information do I need for your Christian Alaska Cruise?

Before you book one of our Christian Alaska Cruises, make sure you have a valid passport. You may also be required to have a multiple reentry visa if you’re a foreign passenger traveling from the United States. If you have any questions about passport and visa requirements for our Alaska cruises, feel free to call or email us.

What common languages will be spoken during the Christian Alaska Cruise?

For most of your Christian Alaska Cruise, you’ll be talking with people who speak English. Other passengers may speak another language, and there are also stops where you may encounter people who speak other languages. Our cruise includes a stop in Ketchikan, where some people still speak the native Tlingit language. However, there won’t be any major language barriers like you may encounter with our Germany tours.

What currency can I use on a Christian Alaska Cruise?

While you need to exchange US dollars for euros before booking one of our Greece tours, you can spend US dollars during your Alaskan cruise. As a US state, Alaska uses the US dollar as its primary currency. While you’re on the cruise ship, you can charge any purchases you want to make to your cruise issued ID card. You can view the current balance of your cruise ID card in the your Cruise App at any time.

Do I need to bring a converter for the Christian Alaska Cruise?

Most cruise ships have the standard 120V type B outlets that Americans are accustomed to, so you don’t need to worry about bringing a converter if you’re from the United States. Some cruise ships also have 220V outlets for European passengers. If you’re not from the United States, you should bring an adapter that works with 120V type B outlets just to be safe. You can also use a universal adapter.

What is the time zone for your Christian Alaska Cruise?

Alaska uses the Alaska Time Zone (AKST), which means you’ll be in a different time zone than the contiguous United States. The Alaska Time Zone is an hour behind Pacific time, two hours behind Mountain time, three hours behind Central time, and four hours behind Eastern time. Fortunately, this slight change in time zones isn’t enough to cause jet lag.

What climate should I expect during my Christian Alaska Cruise?

When you book an Alaskan cruise with other Christian passengers, you can expect warm but somewhat mild weather during the summer. While Alaska can reach temperatures above 90 F, that’s a rare occurrence. Temperatures in the 70s are more common during the summer. You should bring casual resort wear like sandals and shorts, but cruises in Alaska aren’t quite as warm as our Costa Rica tours.

Enjoy great fellowship & daily devotional times.
